FINE PERSIAN TABRIZ 16x24

Fine antique Persian Tabriz silk carpet 16’3″ x 24’4″

In the 19th century a movement began in Persia to create rugs akin in caliber to those of the Safavid Court.

This extremely unique & unusual 19th century silk-on-silk Tabriz is a celebration & testament to the history and culture of carpet weaving dating back to the 16th century.

The design follows suit to two of the most famous carpets in history: The Twin Ardabil carpets.

The enormity in size and 100% pure silk construction in very fine weave make this quite an exceptional piece. Heavy use of green dominating the field makes this carpet far more rare, as green typically is a color reserved for only the most of weaving.

This carpet embodies the highest reverence to the twin Ardabil carpets we have ever seen, with unparalled design accuracy to the originals.
The enormity in size and 100% pure silk construction in very fine weave make this quite an exceptional piece.
